What Is It?
Three amino acids — Lysine, Proline, Valine. The C-terminal tail of alpha-MSH. The smallest functional peptide in the PMP library. Small enough for oral absorption via PepT1 transporters (rare for peptides).
How Does It Work?
Melanotan 2 is a master key — opens four locks at once (tanning, appetite, libido, flushing). KPV is just one tooth from that key. Researchers cut alpha-MSH down to three amino acids. Threw away tanning, appetite, libido, flushing. Kept only the part that calms inflammation. Sometimes less is more. Inhibits NF-kB (the master inflammation switch), reduces TNF-alpha, IL-6, and IL-1, and supports gut barrier function.
Primary Benefits (research suggests)
- Orally bioavailable (rare for peptides)
- Potent anti-inflammatory via NF-kB inhibition
- Concentrates in inflamed tissue
- Used by integrative gut specialists
