What Is It?
An actual non-steroidal SARM (Selective Androgen Receptor Modulator). Ultra-potent. Developed by Radius Health in 2010, now under development by Ellipses Pharma. Stronger androgen receptor binding than testosterone itself.
How Does It Work?
Ostarine was the prototype. It worked. Mostly. Ligandrol was the prototype that actually delivered. RAD-140 is the prototype that overshot. Each compound is more potent than the last — and the case reports scale with the potency. Binds the androgen receptor at Ki = 7 nM (vs testosterone at 29 nM). Tissue-selective AR agonism. Oral with a long half-life.
Primary Benefits (research suggests)
- More potent at the receptor than the body's own testosterone
- Tissue-selective (targets muscle/bone over prostate)
- Oral bioavailability with long half-life
